Adapting with new technology
To adapt to distance learning, I quickly learned to use virtual whiteboard using a digital tablet and pen. I can also develop digital manipulatives with ease. I simply share my screen on Zoom, and students can easily follow my direct instruction. I can accommodate students with different visual learning preferences by annotating with various digital pen tools and settings.
Encouraging collaboration and student-centered learning
Even when distance learning, students should be able to work together. They need to take ownership of the process. I utilize Jamboard and other collaborative resources to let students work together in real time. When students are on their own, they think more critically and share ideas with one another.
Organizing online material
As we learn digitally, it's important for teachers to know how to utilize Learning Management Systems such as Google Classroom. In my Classroom, students can seamlessly access essential information (i.e. Schedule, Agenda), and go through their classwork for the week.
